You turn your back on the lighted path to your quarters and head off down the path on the right. However you don't get far before you are blocked by an invisible force. Stumbling back a few steps from the force of impact you rub your nose and reach a tentative hand out. Your hand comes into contact with an invisible surface and for a few seconds you are able to see the webbing of the force field before it fades from visibility again.
